1. Who we are

Mockly English ("Mockly", "we", "us") provides English-coaching tools and CV review services at app.mocklyenglish.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: your name and email address from Google when you sign in.
• Subscription data: plan, billing status, and customer ID from our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card details.
• Tool content: CVs you upload, AI review outputs, community posts, and booking history.
• Usage data: basic logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
• Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to receive our newsletter and marketing communications, and the date of that choice.

3. How we use your data

• To authenticate you and link your account to your subscription.
• To provide CV reviews, AI feedback, and other tools you request.
• To send service emails (booking confirmations, review-ready notifications).
• To detect abuse and keep the service available.
• If you opt in, to send you our newsletter ("The Stack") and marketing emails including product updates, interview tips, and promotional offers.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Newsletter and marketing

We send marketing emails only with your explicit consent. You can opt in during sign-up or later from your account settings. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.

Our newsletter is delivered via Beehiiv. When you subscribe, your email address and name are shared with Beehiiv solely to deliver the newsletter. Beehiiv's privacy policy applies to that processing.

Transactional emails (e.g. booking confirmations, password resets, review notifications) are not marketing and will continue regardless of your marketing preferences.

• Supabase / Lovable Cloud (database, authentication, file storage)

• Resend (transactional email)
• Beehiiv (newsletter delivery)
• Calendly (session bookings)

6. Data retention

CV uploads are deleted from storage 30 days after submission. Account and billing records are retained as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal obligations. Newsletter subscription records are removed when you unsubscribe.

7. Your rights

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@mocklyenglish.com. You can also withdraw marketing consent at any time via the unsubscribe link or your account settings.
