Free STAR Method Interview Story Rewriter
Paste the story you would tell today. The tool rewrites the English — “I” instead of “we,” fewer hedges, a result with a number — and splits it into Situation, Task, Action, Result. You edit the facts. Nothing is invented.
- Too thin. A STAR answer needs a situation, what you did, and a result. Add the missing beat.
- No result number. Add one number if it is true: %, time saved, error rate, users. “It went well” does not score.
- Missing situation. One line of context: team, product, or constraint. Not your whole CV.
- Missing action. This is the score. What did you decide? Use “I” and one or two steps.
- Missing result. Close with what changed. A number, a before/after, or what you would do next time.

How it works
1.Paste the messy story
The version you would say today — “we”, hedges, no number. Or fill the four STAR boxes if you already know the beats.
2.Rewrite the English
I instead of we. Cut “I think.” Keep your facts. The tool does not invent a project. It only cleans the sentences and splits them into STAR.
3.Save it in the story bank
Six stories beat twenty. Tag the signal: conflict, failure, deadline. Stories stay in this browser. Copy the spoken script when you practise.
Rewrite STAR stories for behavioral interview questions
Behavioral interview questions reward ownership and a clear result. Pasting a “we shipped” draft and cleaning it into Situation, Task, Action, Result is faster than rewriting from a blank page — then rehearse the cleaned script out loud under a timer.
- I instead of we in Action
- One number or clear outcome in Result
- Ninety seconds spoken, not a written essay
