Free AI Tell Me About Yourself Interview Scorer

Record your tell-me-about-yourself elevator pitch. Five-second countdown, sixty seconds on the clock, then a blunt AI roast of structure, ownership, and proof — plus a tighter pitch to practise. Not an accent score.

  1. 1.Record 60 seconds

Countdown, then talk. Hit record. Five seconds to breathe, then sixty seconds for your elevator pitch.

  2. 2.Get the AI roast

Blunt score + fixes. We score structure, ownership, and proof — then roast what would lose a real screen.

  3. 3.Practise the rewrite

Tight elevator pitch. Use the rewritten four-beat pitch, or build your own lines below and record again.

Hit record. 5-second countdown, then 60 seconds on the clock. We score and roast the pitch — not your accent.

Recording needs Chrome or Edge. You can still type below.

Elevator pitch structure

In interviews, “tell me about yourself” is your elevator pitch — about 60 seconds. Four beats: who you are now, one result you own, why this role, then one proof.

  1. 1.Present

Who you are now, in one sentence. Role, domain, and one strength. Not your life story. “I am a backend engineer working on payments.”

  2. 2.Past

One result you can own. A number, a before/after, or a launch. Past simple for finished work. “I cut p95 latency by 40%.”

  3. 3.Why this role

Why this team, not why you need a visa. Name the product, the stack, or the problem you want to work on. Make it specific to the job.

  4. 4.Why you

The proof they should keep listening. One line that matches the job. “I have shipped that kind of system before.” Then stop.

Questions

Treat it as a 60-second elevator pitch with four beats: present role, one past result, why this role, why you. Keep it under 90 seconds and stop after the proof. Do not start in childhood or list every job.

Sixty to ninety seconds. If you are still listing employers at minute two, you are reading a CV. Four short sentences beat a long timeline.

Structure and hire signal: did you name who you are, one owned result, why this role, and a proof close. It also flags “we”-hiding and filler padding. It does not score accent.

No. Lead with the work. If they ask about communication, say you practise interview English and keep answers structured — then go back to the result.
